A JOURNEY THROUGH PERSPECTIVE

Imagine a place that allows you the perspective to enable a peace and calm within you no matter what chaos and drama is going on around you. 

You might think that a state like that would mean that you have no feeling, no empathy and no thought for others but instead it will enable you to have more understanding so that you can help more without the negative emotions clouding your judgement. Without judgement itself causing you to react in a defensive or fear-based action. 

Imagine a place that enables you to live a life that isn’t all about someone else. A place where you do not allow that anger of another to affect you negatively. This can all be possible by changing your perspective. That understanding that the angry person you are encountering, even in your own space, are going through what they are going through. You do not need to be a part of that. You have your own journey, life, emotions, feelings and thoughts, so allow yourself to step into yourself, to know yourself. 

For many people and indeed for myself this was something that alluded me for many years. I now fully live the moments I want to live with joy and an understanding that it is my responsibility to makes myself feel good no matter what is going on around me. This enables me to be balanced and calm but more importantly it enables me to say the ‘right things’ and more appropriate times for that person who is going through whatever they are going through. 

We are not here to change other people, they have their lives to live their way. You have your life to live your way. 

Perspective is True, it is not imagination, it is not a dream, it is another way of looking at something. Sometimes we will never understand someone else’s response or behaviour, but that is ok, we don’t need to. 

That saying ‘Walk in another’s shoes’ is a great way to start to understand that it is impossible to do. We don’t know what is going on in someone else’s mind, even if they tell us how they are feeling it will still not be the full story, their history and life experiences will all play in a part in their reactions, thoughts and deeds. 

Work with me and spend some time allowing yourself to see the broader perspective, to gain insight as to how you can help yourself manage and then enjoy living without constantly being impacted on the negativity around you. This doesn’t mean that you live with your head in the clouds, on the contrary it means you can fully see the wonder around you and allow the true freedom you have to notice the good ‘stuff’ and engage in that rather than feel trapped in someone else’s fear based moments.
