PEACE

This word, what does it mean to you?  For me going to a Catholic secondary school it was a way of connecting to the people around you and offering that gift of peace. I was not a Catholic but there was something I liked about this part of the service.

Now Peace for me is something I feel on a Soul level (no religion connected to this).  Peace for me feels blissful, sometimes walking the dog, listening to the birds, knowing my kids are ok, having had a delicious meal with my husband. So many areas of my life can be filled with Peace, but if I focus on it that flow is so much stronger and more blissful.

Today as I write this it is International Peace Day, a day I didn’t even know existed until today. A friend posted on LinkedIn this morning and so I stopped and relaxed into that feeling of Peace.

With our media constantly reminding us of the wars around the World and the discontentment amongst so many it is wonderful and so important to focus on the Peace that is also around the World, the people who are living in harmony. There are many too, just seems not news worthy.

Can you take some time to sit or walk and think of what Peace means to you? It may like me and automatically take you to a time years ago when the word Peace was mentioned, but that might change now, really feel into the word now.

I feel so calm and contented when I think of Peace, watching the river flow, seeing ducks, geese and swans getting on together. For you it might be a book to read or a piece of music to listen to that allows Peace to flow to you.

Allow that Peace to fill you up like a bright light within you. Notice what makes you feel Peaceful and remember to ALLOW it when things are not so balanced, not so joyful and you too need to feel Peace.
