Disconnection

It is happening everywhere around us.

What can we do?

Connect to nature…. this is true, this is present, this is growing, this is expanding, this is continuing.

Stop watching the fighting, stop judging those you don’t understand. You will feel better.

Start looking within yourself. Start to ask yourself if how you are behaving is what you want for yourself or are you getting swept along with others. You will know because you will feel it.

We have become disconnected from those around us, the divide it seems has become too big, but has it? Aren’t we all physical human beings? Our values may be different, our lives may be different, but we still breathe the same air, we still live on this beautiful planet. Are we noticing this planet and what it has to offer?

  • The amazing oxygen that the plants and trees give us.

  • The beauty in the flowers and butterflies.

  • The water that flows for us to drink.

  • Where we live, the community we have around us.

  • The people we can smile at who can smile back at us.

I appreciate that some have more than others, some don’t have homes, don’t have enough food to feed themselves and some on this planet do not have fresh water to drink.

BUT can we notice what we do have and notice how we as individuals behave. Can we help anyone around us to have a better day to notice the beauty that is around us, this beauty that we walk by, the beauty in the sky that we don’t notice because we are late, we are sad or overwhelmed?

Connecting to nature can really help us realise what a phenomenal planet we live in, allow our focus to be on something incredible that we can realise is carrying on despite the chaos we are constantly bombarded with, even if for only a few moments. Watch the bee, look at the clouds and smell the flowers. Realise how wondrous nature is with even the most common aspects that we are surrounded by every day.
